Air Products Brings Another Three Oxygen Generators Onstream for World’s Leading Fiberglass Manufacturer in China

Air Products (NYSE:APD) today announced that it has recently brought three more oxygen generators onstream to supply additional gaseous oxygen to China Jushi Co., Ltd., a world’s leading fiberglass manufacturer. These Air Products’ PRISM® vacuum swing adsorption (VSA) oxygen generators provide oxygen under two new long-term contracts signed in December 2019 and July 2020 to support Jushi’s Intelligent Manufacturing Bases in Tongxiang, Zhejiang Province and Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China respectively.
Air Products has been supplying Jushi since 2004 and has built two air separation units and a dozen oxygen generators to meet the customer growing demand. The latest contracts and facilities further strengthen Air Products’ longstanding and strong position to support this strategic customer. The oxygen is used in the customer’s glass melting process to enhance environmental performance, energy efficiency and product quality.
Jushi’s Intelligent Manufacturing Bases—a landmark project leading technological upgrade and transformation of production mode in the global fiberglass industry—are equipped with advanced technology and equipment for the green manufacturing of high-end products. Air Products’ newly started up onsite oxygen generators, which are integrated into Jushi’s oxygen pipelines, supply reliable and economical gas to the Tongxiang project’s second production line capable of producing 150,000 tons of fiberglass annually and the first production line of the 250,000-ton-per-year Chengdu project.
